EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Community Foundation has announced 50 grant recipients in the El Paso and Las Cruces region for The Classroom Fund 2025.
According to the El Paso Community Foundation, a $50,000 grant was divided among 50 educators in the El Paso and Las Cruces area through The Classroom Fund.

According to the El Paso Community Foundation, The Classroom Fund is “a special project of the foundation that purchases classroom materials on behalf of educators in the El Paso and Las Cruces area.”
To apply for the fund, applicants must be full-time, pre-K through 12th-grade educators and requested materials must be used in the classroom by students, according to the El Paso Community Foundation.
The funding helps with projects ranging from basic supplies for art, special needs and technology, the foundation said.
“The Classroom Fund helps to relieve the financial burden of the people in the community that have the largest impact on the future of the region – our educators,” Stephanie Otero, EPCF vice president of Operations, said. “The educational materials received helps them to academically strengthen our next generation by being innovative in the classroom.”
According to the El Paso Community Foundation, since 2011, over $650,000 in grants have supported more than 650 educators and their “efforts to create or enhance learning opportunities for students.”
The El Paso Community Foundation said nearly 300 resource grant applications were received this year.
The recipients of the fund will receive their requested materials on June 10, the foundation said.
