EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The The 89th Annual Glasheen, Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers Sun Bowl Parade announced that its theme will be “Childhood Is Where Dreams Are Born.”
All floats must have a design that includes mascots, characters, or spokespersons as a focal point that celebrates childhood dreams such as an astronaut, pilot, doctor, singer or others of that ilk, the Sun Bowl Association announced.
“Once again, the Sun Bowl Association, in conjunction with the City of El Paso and our title sponsor Glasheen, Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers, look forward to continuing to produce one of El Paso’s greatest traditions,” Sun Bowl Association Executive Director Bernie Olivas said. “This year’s theme is conducive to many opportunities for any organization who would like to enter into this year’s 89-year-old institution.”
This year’s parade will be at 10 a.m. Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 27 and will be televised on KTSM News Channel 9.
“We are excited to see what everyone builds and produces for this year’s parade with the theme ‘Childhood Is Where Dreams Are Born,'” Sun Bowl Special Events Director Joe Daubach said. “The work on the floats has already started and we hope more want to join in on this great El Paso tradition.”
The Sun Bowl Association is finalizing and will announce a grand marshal for parade in the near future, it said.
