“We are excited to welcome the Vinton community to our new Xpress Fuel travel center,” said
Shannon Stone, director of store modernization at Pilot. “Whether fueling up, grabbing a bite to eat or enjoying a cup of the best coffee on the interstate, we look forward to being the pick-me-up you need on your daily commute or as you’re just passing through.”

Key features of the travel center include (with descriptions provided by the Pilot Company): modern, open-concept store design; clean, spacious restrooms and showers for added comfort and convenience; large beverage coolers for a wide selection of drinks; hot and cold deli area with crave-worthy, grab-and-go options; four self-checkouts for a faster, more convenient shopping experience; and mobile fueling.

The $20,000 donation to Canutillo ISD will be used to support Brick by Brick: Building Canutillo’s Future Initiative, which partners with the LEGO Foundation to provide students in grades 3 through 5 with hands-on, innovative learning opportunities, the company said.

“Pilot’s commitment to being a quality partner in education is evident and this generous donation will help provide innovative instruction for our learners,” said Pedro Galaviz, superintendent of Canutillo Independent School District. “We look forward to building a lasting relationship with Pilot and welcome them not only to Vinton, but into the entire Canutillo family.”

Vinton Mayor Rachel Quintana said: “This travel center is more than a stop along the highway —it’s a welcome center for our region and a new economic asset for our community.”
