EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The grand opening of a newly enhanced playground at Arlington Park will be celebrated this week.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, which is open to the public, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 9, at Arlington Park, 10350 Pasadena Cir., the City of El Paso said in a news release.
The City said the $170,000 improvement project, funded through the District 4 Discretionary Fund and the Parkland Dedication Fund, has transformed the park into a more vibrant and family-friendly space.
Key features of the upgraded playground include the following, according to the City:
- New, modern playground equipment
- A secure rock wall enclosure
- A new, safety-compliant play surface
“We’re proud to celebrate the improvements at Arlington Park, which reflect our continued commitment to providing safe, fun, and accessible recreational spaces for families in our community,” Pablo Caballero, director of the Parks and Recreation Department, said. “These enhancements not only promote active play and wellness but also strengthen the bond between our neighborhoods and public parks.”
