I asked you last week to enjoy Mother’s Day weekend if not for mom then for the incredibly beautiful weather. That’s about to change in a big way, starting tomorrow. Here’s your exclusive 9-Hour Forecast for Tuesday:
TONIGHT: The skies will be partly cloudy. The west winds will range from 15-40 mph, stirring up a slight dusty haze. The winds will lighten up a little overnight but will never fully die down. The low will be 73.
FORECAST: KTSM has issued a Weather Authority Alert due to powerful winds and blowing dust for six of the next seven days. Tuesday will start out partly cloudy but turn very windy and very dusty by afternoon. A Blowing Dust Advisory is posted from 1 – 8 PM. With a high of 95, the SW winds will pick up and gust near 50 mph. Wednesday will bring another afternoon of strong winds and dust. The SW winds will gust near 55 mph, and we could see a near brown-out from dust by the afternoon. Wednesday’s high: 92. Thursday will be a terrible weather day with strong winds and blowing dust. With a high of 90, the SW winds will gust near 60 mph. A brown-out of dust will be likely by afternoon. Friday will be mostly sunny with the lightest winds of the week. Even so, the SW winds will gust near 40 mph, which will produce at least a slight dusty haze. Friday’s high: 90. Strong winds return Saturday through Monday.
