EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso has released a list of road closures for the week of May 16 that could affect your commute, including a nightly closure on the eastbound lanes of Artcraft between McNutt and Upper Valley, starting on Monday, May 19 and lasting through Friday, May 23.
I-10 Widening West
Monday, May 19 through Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (as needed)
- North Desert and South Desert between Anthony and Redd alternate lane closures.
- Redd east and westbound at North and South Desert intersections alternate lane closures.
Crews will be working on electrical and miscellaneous construction work.
- I-10 west and eastbound between Redd and Resler alternate lane closures.
Crews will be paving.

- I-10 eastbound at Transmountain exit ramp closed.
- Detour: Traffic to exit at Transmountain Exit ramp (05), proceed through Transmountain and Artcraft intersections and enter I10 EB using the Artcraft Entrance (09) Ramp.

- I-10 westbound at Artcraft exit ramp closed.
- Detour: Traffic to exit at Artcraft Exit ramp (09), proceed through Artcraft and Transmountain intersections and enter I-10 westbound using the Transmountain Entrance Ramp (05).
Crews will be working on portable concrete barrier removal.

- RM 652 westbound lanes reduced to one lane two-way traffic from FM 3541 to Kimble Draw Bridge.

RM 652 Full Depth Rehabilitation Project

- RM 652 east and westbound alternating lane closure 8.36 miles east of FM 3541 to Reeves County Line.
- Continuous two-way traffic, one-lane work zone requiring traffic to be alternating onto one lane and controlled by Temporary Traffic Signals with a 13-foot lane width restriction.
Closure is necessary for the construction of new roadway consisting of full depth rehabilitation.
