EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Part of Airway Boulevard will be closed for three straight nights, beginning on Tuesday, May 20 as part of waterline rehabilitation and pipeline protection projects, El Paso Water said.
Southbound traffic on Airway will be fully closed from Edgemere to Viscount boulevards from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. nightly starting Tuesday, May 20 and finishing up on Friday morning, May 23.
Commercial access will be maintained for businesses along Airway; however, no through
traffic will be permitted, El Paso Water said.
In addition, northbound Airway Boulevard will be reduced to one lane from Gateway West to Edgemere Boulevard.
Detour signs will be clearly posted. Drivers are urged to use extra caution in traffic-control zones to ensure the safety of work crews.
