Her Royal Highness, Empress Hanany, is again spearheading an effort to terminate the employment of Diana Sayavedra, the most talented and capable EPISD Superintendent in a generation.
The Empress failed to garner enough votes to fire Sayavedra on May 27 so tomorrow, June 3 at 4:00pm there will be yet another Special Meeting aimed at replacing her with a crony who will obey Imperial directives and send the Death Star to destroy the school budget!
The Empress is proceeding with her personal vendetta against Sayavedra, who crafted the common-sense plan to close eight under-enrolled schools, only 28 days before the beginning of FY 2026, which has a projected deficit of $33.8 million.
The Board is just beginning budget discussions to find a way to avert insolvency, a bond rating downgrade, and a takeover by the Texas Education Agency.
But as far as we can tell, the Empress, Dr. Loveridge, and Alex “Vader” Cuellar are totally unconcerned about EPISD’s financial predicament.
If the three of them can convince the two new trustees, Sutton and Loveridge, to join them on the Dark Side of the Force tomorrow, they will succeed in their quest to impose their Maoist agenda upon our public school system, driving even more parents to enroll their children in charter and private schools.
