EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — U.S. Border Patrol El Paso Sector will hold a multi-law enforcement agency press event on Wednesday morning, June 11, regarding its Deep South Campaign, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The press event will begin at 10 a.m. and will discuss the “increased border enforcement measures known as the Deep South Campaign and to provide more information on the designated National Defense Areas, including the additional trespassing charges associated with these violations and how this works in practice,” CBP said.
The event will also discuss the “consequences for attempting to illegally enter the United States and will expose the lies of foreign terrorist organizations who conduct human smuggling along the border,” CBP said.
