KTSM News – Ecuadorian man found guilty of improper entry, entering military property

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – An Ecuadorian man was found guilty on Tuesday, June 17, by an El Paso judge of improper entry by an undocumented migrant and entering military property, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas announced in a news release.

According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Dario Javier Trejo-Burbano knowingly and unlawfully entered the U.S. on May 8 through the National Defense Area, a restricted area established by the Department of the Army.

The Attorney’s Office said U.S. Border Patrol investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorneys Susanna Martinez and Chris Skillern are prosecuting the case.
