EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Viva! El Paso is making its return this week to the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre for its 47th season.
According to the news release by Viva! El Paso, the first show will be at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 20.
The show spans over 400 years of El Paso history that will feature music and dances from Spain, Mexico, and the U.S., the news release read.
In addition, Viva! El Paso features local talent and says to be proud of the several generations of artists that are or have been a part of the show, the news release reads.
According to Viva! El Paso, the show is directed by Jaime Carrasco, the book is written by Marty Martin, and the show includes music from Jim Ward and Cody Ritchey.
Tickets are available for purchase at the Plaza Box Office in Downtown El Paso, at the Canyon Box before the show, and on Ticketmaster.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $16 for groups, military, and children, Viva! El Paso said.
Viva! El Paso began in 1978 and was created, directed, and written by Hector Serrano, who died in December of last year.
Viva! El Paso is brought by EPIC Arts, El Paso Live, and the El Paso Community Foundation, the news release read.
