KTSM News – Man hit by train after falling sleep on track in Las Cruces

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 33-year-old man fell asleep on train tracks and was hit by a train early Saturday morning, June 21 in Las Cruces, a Las Cruces Police spokesman said.

The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Saturday at Main and University, the spokesman said.’

The man suffered what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, the spokesman said.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe is investigating.
