KTSM News – Scattered storms with brief, heavy rain — Your 9-Day Forecast

Posted on June 26, 2025

In classic monsoon fashion, the PM t-showers have arrived. A flood advisory is posted near Las Cruces until 6:30 PM. T-showers will crop up in a random fashion and may produce brief, heavy rainfall.

If you do not receive rain tonight, you’ll have a chance of showers again tomorrow. Here’s your exclusive 9-Hour Forecast for Friday:

TONIGHT:   The skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with widely scattered showers and t-showers.  Some individual storms may produce brief, heavy rainfall.  As always, do not drive into flooded roadways.  Late evening, the t-showers will taper off leaving slowly clearing skies.  The low will drop to 67, and SE winds will range from 5-15 mph.  Occasional gusts will be likely as area storms break apart.

FORECAST:  Friday will be partly cloudy with a hot, muggy feel in the afternoon.  The high will be 92, and we’ll watch the clouds build up for widely scattered late day showers and t-showers.  The variable winds will range from 5-15 mph with gusts near area storms.  Saturday will be partly cloudy and 96 with scattered late day t-showers.  Sunday will be partly cloudy and 99 with a chance of isolated area t-storms.  Rain chances go way down Sunday. Monday will be partly to mostly cloudy with a high of 98.  Expect scattered t-showers late Monday with some storms producing brief, heavy rain.  Tuesday will be partly cloudy and 96 with scattered late day t-showers.  Wednesday will be partly cloudy and 98 with isolated late day t-storms.  Rain chances go down on Wednesday.
