UPDATE: Friday morning, June 27, the village council unanimously approved the emergency resolution. The resolution will now be sent to Lincoln County officials and officials with the state to be approved.
ORIGINAL: EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — In the wake of thunderstorms and potential floodwaters, the Village of Ruidoso has called for an emergency meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to happen at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 27, at Ruidoso Village Hall, located at 313 Cree Meadows Dr.
According to the Village of Ruidoso’s Facebook post, the purpose of the meeting is to request an emergency declaration for the village.
