McDonough, who is 55, is an engine driver and conductor on the Hermann Park Railroad, in Houston.I worked in the Houston Independent School District for 31 years.I was a principal for 19 years. After I retired, my wife was scrolling through Instagram one day and noticed that the Hermann Park Conservancy was looking for train engineers. I reached out to them, came in for an interview, and got the job. Our lead engineer works full-time, and everyone else is part-time.
