EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A structure fire damaged an apartment complex early Saturday morning, July 5, in Las Cruces, the Las Cruces Fire Department said in a press release.
The Fire Department says just after 1 a.m. on Saturday, firefighters responded to a reported smell of smoke on the 3000 block of Majestic Ridge.
First-arriving crews discovered a structure fire inside an apartment unit on the third floor of an apartment complex.
The fire was under control within 20 minutes, and crews were able to minimize property damage by quickly preventing the fire from spreading to other units, the Fire Department said.
“No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates have yet to be determined,” the Fire Department said.
