EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Horizon Police say they arrested a man whose blood-alcohol content was double the legal limit or even greater.
Charlie Lopez, 42, was arrested last month and charged with DWI with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.15 or more, Horizon Police said.
Horizon Police officers said that at 7 p.m. on June 27, they were conducting a “pro-active” patrol and stopped a vehicle along the 15000 block of Darrington for an equipment violation.
Upon further investigation, Lopez showed signs of intoxication and was arrested with a bond of $3,000.
Assistant Chief Jose Kluge said: “Driving while intoxicated is a serious offense which places our community in danger. Please ensure you use a ride share or make other arrangements for transportation if you are away from home and plan on drinking.”
