KTSM News – El Paso native Cristina Rodda returns to KTSM 9 News

Posted on July 8, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — After a decade away from the anchor desk, El Paso native Cristina Rodda returns to the airwaves on KTSM 9 News.

Rodda returns to anchor KTSM 9 Weekends, as well as KTSM 9 News at Noon, starting this week.

After stints in Albuquerque, Las Vegas, and a stretch with local and state NGO’s, Rodda steps back into news amid KTSM’s ongoing resurgence.

“It’s great to have yet another respected and experienced journalist decide to return to the business and join our team,” KTSM 9 News Director Chris Babcock shares.

“With established journalists like Andy (Morgan), Monica (Cortez), and Estela (Casas) and the entire crew, Cristina further strengthens our commitment to local anchors and reporters sharing local stories and covering our hometown with perspective and in-depth knowledge of the community.”

Rodda signs on with KTSM at a time when the station is experiencing rapid growth, both on air and in the digital realm, in their quest to return to the top spot in local news – a spot they last held in the late 1990s.
