EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 50-year-old Chaparral man died on Wednesday, July 9, after a crash in Northeast El Paso, El Paso Police said.
Police say its Special Traffic Investigations unit responded to a crash Wednesday evening at the intersection of Gateway North and Kenworthy.
Police say Raymond Lee Ervin Massey, 50, from Chaparral, New Mexico, was traveling on U.S. 54 and exited onto 10600 Gateway North in a white Chevy Trax.
Massey then struck the rear corner of another vehicle and continued traveling straight across the intersection, police said.
Massey then struck a concrete barrier at a high rate of speed and died at the scene, police said.
Police say Massey may have suffered a medical emergency. However, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
