EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Angry Crab Shack held its grand opening on Thursday, July 10, in West El Paso, where the franchise is known for its seafood boils and asian-cajun flavors.
The franchise is located at 7019 North Mesa Street, where they offer seafood dishes, personalized seafood boils, house-made sauces, and dishes for those who don’t like fish, such as Angus burgers, spicy chicken sandwiches, and chicken wings.

The franchise was founded in Mesa, Arizona, in 2013 by Ron Lou and now has 24 locations nationwide and two locations in London.
For the seafood boils, you can pick from several different protein options, sauces, a heat level, and add-ons such as corn on the cob, potatoes, vegetables, sausages, and more.
“The El Paso opening marks the second Angry Crab Shack location in Texas after the Atascocita location and follows the brand’s ongoing strategic growth plans in key markets across the country. The El Paso location will deliver on the same high-quality ingredients people have come to expect from Angry Crab Shack, including live Maine Lobsters and Pacific NW Dungeness Crab displayed in an in-house tank, with the same hands-on, family-friendly experience diners have come to know and love,” the franchise said.
The franchise also offers alcoholic beverages, including seasonal cocktails and mocktails, and a shack-like interior with an ocean-themed decor.
The franchise is currently partnered with El Paso Children’s Hospital.
Angry Crab Shack is currently closed Monday through Wednesday, and open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
