KTSM News – El Paso Police: 1 person dead after crash in South-Central

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — One person is dead after a crash involving a pedestrian on Saturday morning, July 19, in South-Central El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.

El Paso Police said the call came in shortly before 9:30 a.m. on July 19 near the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Gibraltar Drive. That is just west of Ascarate Park.

Police reported that one person died in the crash. They did not provide further details about the person or what led up to the crash.

The Special Traffic Investigation unit was called to investigate, El Paso Police said.

In addition, El Paso Police said to avoid the area or expect traffic delays.
