EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso will have more community meetings about its proposed fiscal year 2026 budget.
“The proposed FY 2026 Budget reflects the City’s continued commitment to public safety,
infrastructure improvements, tax relief for seniors and disabled homeowners, and competitive
wages and benefits for employees, all while maintaining a structurally balanced budget with no
increase to the property tax rate,” the City said in its news release.
Here is a schedule of remaining budget community meetings.

These sessions follow earlier community input opportunities held from April through May,
including an online budget survey and public workshops.

- July 31: Presentation of certified property values and introduction of proposed tax rate
- Aug. 12: Public hearing on budget and tax rate
- Aug. 19: City Council adoption of the FY 2026 budget and tax rate
- Sept. 1: Beginning of fiscal year 2026
