EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Doña Ana County will conduct a community cleanup this weekend in Vado after the recent flooding, according to the news release on Friday, July 25.

Residents are being asked to place all trash and debris curbside before 8 a.m. so crews can easily access and remove items, the County said.

“We know this has been a difficult time for many families, and we are here to support you as we work together to recover,” Emergency Manager Amanda Bowen said. “This cleanup is part of our commitment to helping residents get back on their feet as safely and quickly as possible.”

Additionally, Gadsden Independent School District will partner with FEMA to assist with recovery efforts on July 26, the school district said in a news release.

FEMA volunteers will be using Vado Elementary School, located at 330 Holguin Rd., as a staging area to coordinate the flood relief activities, Gadsden ISD said.

Volunteers will be working all day to help residents clean up and begin the recovery process, Gadsden ISD said.
