A remembrance ceremony will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3 at the Healing Garden at Ascarate Park, 6900 Delta Drive.
The ceremony will mark the sixth anniversary of when 23 El Pasoans were murdered and more than 20 others were wounded in a racially motivated attack at the Cielo Vista Walmart.
El Paso Pro Musica will play at 6:30 p.m. during the ceremony. After their performance, a prayer and reading of the names will be held in conjunction with the El Paso County Commissioners Court.
The ceremony will remember and honor the victims and survivors of that day but also the resilience and courage shown by many others.
