EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 46-year-old man has died after a stabbing incident Tuesday night, July 29, in South El Paso, El Paso Police Detective Judy Oviedo said.
Oviedo say the incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. at the 200 block of East Ninth Street in reference to an assault in progress.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the man who had been stabbed. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, Oviedo said.
Oviedo said the area will be closed off for several hours as police investigate.
The Crimes Against Persons unit is investigating the incident, and the stabbing is believed to be an isolated incident, Oviedo said.
