EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 54-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after his vehicle rolled over on Friday, July 25, in Horizon City, police said.
Horizon City Police said Jose Antonio Gonzalez Romero, 54, was arrested and taken to the El Paso County Detention Facility, where he was charged with DWI under a $2,500 bond.
Shortly after 9:35 p.m. on July 25, officers responded to a report of a vehicle rollover in the area of the 14700 block of Eastlake Boulevard.
Police said officers were able to identify and locate the driver, later identified as Gonzalez Romero, based on witnesses who saw him exiting the rolled-over vehicle.
During the interview, Gonzalez Romero showed signs of intoxication, according to police.
Gonzalez Romero was medically evaluated and cleared with no injuries reported. He was then released to police officers and arrested on suspicion of DWI.
