EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A local woman-owned flower shop is celebrating National Girlfriends Day by giving away one free complimentary flower bouquet to anyone who stops by the shop and mentions the holiday.
You can get your free complimentary flower bouquet from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or until supplies last, on Friday, Aug. 1, at Anita’s Flowers, located at 8838 Viscount Blvd.
“Whether you’re celebrating your best friend, sister, mom, or your romantic partner, National
Girlfriends Day is a chance to show the women in your life just how much they mean to you.
This annual holiday is all about lifting each other up and honoring the special bond of sisterhood
and friendship,” read the news release sent by Anita’s Flowers.
The flower shop, originally founded by Anita herself, has been a part of El Paso for over 60 years. The legacy of the shop has been proudly carried on by the women in the family, making it not just woman-owned, but woman-powered through the generations, according to the news release.
“We just wanted to do something simple, sweet, and meaningful,” Belinda Miller, owner of Anita’s Flowers, said. “Sometimes a single bouquet can say what words can’t. The world could use more random acts of kindness and we are hoping that this small gesture will do just that.”
