EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A special appearance by actor Christopher McDonald at an El Paso Chihuhuas baseball game has been postponed, the team announced on Tuesday, Aug. 5.
McDonald is best known for his iconic role as villianous golfer Shooter McGavin in the 1996 comedy “Happy Gilmore” and the 2025 sequel “Happy Gilmore 2.”
McDonald was scheduled to appear for a meet-and-greet with fans on Saturday, Aug. 9. The appearance was postponed because of a scheduling conflict, the team said.
He also appeared in “Thelma and Louise” and played Ward Cleaver in the film adaption of “Leave it to Beaver.”
Patrons who purchased the private meet-and-greet opportunity can receive a refund by contacting the Southwest University Park Box Office at 915-533-BASE (2273).
