Posted on August 12, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Community College (EPCC) has opened applications for its Student Success Endowment Scholarship, which is available to students who have completed the admission process at EPCC, have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and are eligible for in-state tuition.

The scholarship will cover up to eight hours of in-state tuition and mandatory fees per semester for up to six consecutive semesters.

“This permanent scholarship fund represents EPCC and our Board of Trustees’ commitment to building a college-going culture and advancing students and our region,” William Serrata, EPCC President, said. “By providing access to higher education with a laser-focus on student success, EPCC is paving the way for a brighter and stronger future for all.”

The El Paso Community College (EPCC) Board of Trustees established the Student Success Endowment Scholarship in 2024 which was made possible by a $30 million donation from MacKenzie Scott. Applications for this scholarship are currently being accepted and around 200 scholarships are expected to be awarded for the Fall 2025 semester.
