EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 52-year-old man was arrested for drunk driving and unlawful carrying of a weapon on Saturday, Aug. 9, in Horizon City.

Francisco Leo Nolasco, 52, was charged with driving while intoxicated and unlawful carrying of a weapon under a $1,500 bond, according to the Horizon City Police Department.
At around 1:47 a.m. on Saturday, officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation in the area of the 13800 block of Town Center Boulevard.
Officers made contact with the driver, identified as Nolasco, who displayed indicators of intoxication.
During the investigation, the officer saw a pistol located in the area of the vehicle that was easily accessible to Nolasco, posing a potential safety risk, according to police.
Nolasco agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests and exhibited signs of impairment. He was subsequently arrested.
