EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso County Commissioners Court is scheduled to take several big steps during its budget process for Fiscal Year 2026 at its meeting on Monday, Aug. 18.
Commissioners Court will hold several public hearings for tax rates, starting at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Hearings will be held for tax rates for the County, University Medical Center and Emergency Service Districts No. 1 and No. 2.
Commissioners are also expected to vote to adopt the FY2026 tax rates for the County and the two Emergency Service Districts, along with budgets for the two ESDs.
However, adoption of a tax rate and budget for UMC will not take place until the following week on Monday, Aug. 25.
The hearings will be held in the Alicia Chacon County Commissioners Courtroom, Room 303 on the third floor of the Enrique Moreno County Courthouse, 500 E. San Antonio.
