A 35-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle while running onto a highway in El Paso, according to authorities.
The woman, who wasn’t identified, ran into the westbound lanes of Loop 375 near mile marker 59 in front of a 2017 Mazda 3. Moments later, a second vehicle also struck her, causing her body to land on the roadway, El Paso police reported Monday morning.
The driver of the second vehicle fled the scene, police said.
El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Unit is asking for the public’s help in identifying the hit-and-run driver or providing any information related to the incident.

This crash marks the city’s 38th traffic-related fatality in 2025, compared to 40 deaths at this point in 2024. The investigation remains ongoing.
