EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) —Six people were injured after a multi-vehicle crash happened Wednesday along the eastbound lanes on Interstate 10. KTSM obtained video showing a a semitrailer hanging off the side of the Interstate near Gateway East at Lomaland.
A spokesperson with the El Paso Fire Department confirmed five people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, one person was transported with serious injuries, and three people refused transport.
The call came in just before 11 a.m. All lanes are currently closed on I-10 East before Lomaland and Gateway East at Lafayette, according to El Paso police.
Viewer video shows a semitrailer hanging off the barrier of I-10 East after the crash. You can also see several vehicles with damage stalled along the right lane of the interstate. The semitrailer involved appears to belong to Swift Transportation, a trucking company based out of El Paso.
No further information has been released. The scene has been turned over to police.
