KTSM News – El Paso Fire to host 9/11 remembrance ceremony

Posted on August 29, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Fire Department will remember the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people, including 343 firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty.

The ceremony will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11 at Fire Station No. 18, 7901 San Jose Road.

Joined by local dignitaries, fellow first responders, and community members, firefighters will gather for a solemn tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and service displayed on that tragic day.

The ceremony will provide an opportunity for El Paso residents to pause and reflect on the bravery of first responders who rushed toward danger to save others, as well as to stand in solidarity with those who continue to serve and protect.

The public is encouraged to attend and take part in remembering the heroes of 9/11.
