What a beautiful day with partly cloudy skies. We have a few more gorgeous days on the way. However, when you wake up Friday, you’ll see the outer bands of Lorena, a tropical storm that will break apart over Mexico. It raises our threat (or potential) for heavy rain as I have detailed below.
Here’s your exclusive 9-Hour Forecast for Wednesday.
TONIGHT: The skies will be partly cloudy early in the evening but will turn clear overnight. The SE winds will range from 5-10 mph, and the low will drop to 68.
FORECAST: Wednesday will be mostly sunny and beautiful with a high of 94. With just a few afternoon clouds, the S winds will range from 5-10 mph. Thursday will be partly cloudy with a high of 95. The south-SW winds will range from 5-20 mph… a little breezy at times. Friday will turn mostly cloudy to overcast as the outer bands of Tropical Storm Lorena start to approach the Borderland. Most of the day should be dry, but there will be an increasing chance of rain by Friday night. Friday’s high: 83. The core of Lorena appears to move directly over southwestern New Mexico, including El Paso and Las Cruces, starting early Saturday morning. Saturday will bring showers and t-showers with the potential for very heavy rainfall. (I’ll be watching and updating each day on this situation.) By late afternoon Saturday, the chance of rain will taper off as clouds slowly start to clear. Saturday’s high: 84. Sunday will be mostly sunny and 92. Monday will be sunny and 96.
