KTSM News – 1 person airlifted after crash involving pedestrian in El Paso’s Lower Valley

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — One person has been airlifted after a crash involving a pedestrian in El Paso’s Lower Valley on Friday evening, Sept. 5, according to the El Paso Fire Department.

The call came in shortly before 8 p.m. on Sept. 5 along the intersection of North Carolina Drive and Alameda Avenue.

The injured person was transported to a local hospital by FireSTAR.

Video on social media shows a large presence of law enforcement and first responders on scene, including FireSTAR landing on the road and taking off after the patient was loaded.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, East and Westbound lanes of Alameda are closed until further notice.
