EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 45-year-old man is in custody he allegedly shot two people and then barricaded himself inside his home in East El Paso County, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said.

At about 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, deputies were sent out to the 14000 block of Loera about an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon involving multiple victims.

When deputies arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both people were transported to local hospital for emergency treatment.

Deputies identified the suspect as Jimenez, who had barricaded himself inside his home.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Crisis Negotiation Team and Crisis Intervention Team all responded to the scene.

He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

The Sheriff’s Office did not say how badly the victims were hurt or what led up to the shooting.
