EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Town of Anthony, Texas, will host a Traffic Community Outreach Event next week to encourage safe driving.
The event will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at Municipal Park, 100 Richard White.
The Anthony Police Department will join with partners such as Anthony Municipal Court, Animal Welfare Services, MADD and the Texas Department of Transportation.
Highlights include education on seat belt use, avoiding speeding, not texting and driving and the dangers of impaired driving.
A special car seat check-up will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with TxDOT conducting checks and distributing car seats, while supplies last. Attendees must bring a valid government-issued ID and have their children and current car seats present.
