EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two men were arrested after a shooting that resulted in the death of a man and a woman being injured on Tuesday, Sept. 9, in East El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department (EPPD).
Manuel Gonzalez, 43, and Salvador Gomez, 44, were both charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the shooting death of 34-year-old Jearhamel Fanaro and injuring a 26-year-old woman, according to EPPD.


Shortly before 2:40 a.m. on Sept. 9, officers responded to a residence in the 1700 block of Dale Douglas in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located Fanaro unresponsive with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to EPPD.
The 26-year-old woman was also found with gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital.
The Crimes Against Persons Unit assumed the investigation, and on Sept. 12, detectives identified two suspects and obtained arrest warrants.
Both offenders, Gonzalez and Gomez, were subsequently taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with no bond, according to EPPD.
