EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A body was found in a Northeast El Paso home as fire crews were battling a fire on Friday morning, Sept. 19.
The call came in at 8:48 a.m. at the 5200 block of Beautonne Drive, according to police.
Five units with the El Paso Fire Department (EPFD) were sent to the area shortly before 9:30 a.m.
The video below shows EPFD and EPPD units at the scene.
In addition, utility officials had told police they were turning off the gas service to a home on Beautonne Drive.
The El Paso Police Department’s Crime Against Persons unit is now assisting the Fire Marshal’s Office with the investigation.
