EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Families can learn about the Borderland region’s most essential resource — water — during the annual Water Festival this weekend.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at the TecH2O Center, 10751 Montana Ave.
The event is free and provides an afternoon full of activities, educational experiences and live entertainment.
“This is a great opportunity for first-time visitors to explore the TecH2O, learn about our water resources and the unique environment of the Chihuahuan Desert,” said Jennifer Barr conservation and TecH2O manager. “This event is a cultural celebration highlighting our relationship with water.”
Attractions include watercolor art sessions, water-related demonstrations and art activities, music and dance entertainment featuring Let There Be Rock School, 915 LGNDZ and the El Paso Youth Jazz Ensemble.

Exhibition booths will feature local organizations including La Nube, El Paso Zoo, El Paso Library, Conservation Society of El Paso, Hueco Tanks State Park, Texas Master Gardeners, Friends of the Rio Bosque and many more.
Food sales will be held in front of the TecH2O Center.
Additionally, attendees can pick up free water-saving showerheads and faucet aerators.
