EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Keep your umbrellas on you this weekend. KTSM has triggered a Weather Authority Alert because the threat for strong storms and heavy rain still stands for Friday night and Saturday.

Friday, El Paso will see a low in the upper 60s with winds up to 5-10 mph. Scattered showers and storms are expected in the late afternoon through the early morning hours of Saturday. In the case of a fast downpour, flooding can occur in prone areas, so stay vigilant and turn around, don’t drown should you be on the roadways.
Saturday will see a high of around 93 with a low in the upper 60s. Very much like today, scattered showers and storms are possible throughout the day, primarily in the afternoon. Winds will blow 5-10 mph.
Sunday will be drier with a high in the low 90s. Overall conditions will be mostly sunny with calm winds, a pleasant way to end the weekend.
Moisture picks up again Monday with the chance to see showers going into the evening. This is also the first day of fall –a great time to buy a seasonal coffee or sweet treat to commemorate the season!
Temperatures will be slightly above average through the rest of the week, mostly in the mid-90s. Slight shower chances stick around Tuesday before mostly sunny days going through Friday.
