EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Chicano art and lowriders will be celebrated during the annual Lincoln Park Day on Sunday, Sept. 21.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lincoln Park, 4001 Durazno St. in South-Central.
Two new murals on the pillars underneath Interstate 10 will be unveiled during the event. The murals were done by El Paso-based Alberto “Tino” Ortega.
One of the murals will be dedicated to Borderland icon Saul Armendariz, better known by his luchador name “Cassando El Exotico.
The event will feature live entertainment and a lowrider car show. The Chicano Park Museum and Cultural Center will also be open during the event.
