KTSM News – UMC El Paso offers flu shots as flu season approaches

Posted on September 22, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The University Medical Center of El Paso is offering immunizations as it gears up for the upcoming flu season.

UMC providers and clinics will offer the flu vaccine for $10 for self-pay or uninsured. However, most health care insurance plans cover the cost of the annual flu shot, according to UMC in a news release.

In addition, the UMC Mobile Health Clinic will visit many of El Paso’s rural communities to bring flu vaccines closer to families.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends receiving a flu vaccination in September or October to provide the “greatest protection” throughout the flu season.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling (915) 790-5700.
