EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An 18-year-old man who is believed to be responsible for a fatal road rage shooting of a teen back in June has been arrested, according to the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD).
Officers located the 18-year-old suspect on Thursday morning at a business off Highway 70 in Las Cruces. He was taken into custody without incident, according to LCPD.
However, LCPD said they will not identify the suspect at this time pending further investigation.
The suspect is anticipated to be charged with multiple felonies in relation to the fatal shooting, according to LCPD.
The investigation is ongoing.
As KTSM previously reported, Alejandro Roman, 14, was shot and killed at around 9 p.m. on June 2, while sitting in the backseat of a vehicle near the intersection of Solano Drive and Spruce Avenue.
Roman suffered at least one gunshot wound and died at the scene, according to LCPD.
LCPD said the shooting was a result of a road rage incident between two vehicles.
