KTSM News – El Paso students sought to design elections stickers

Posted on September 27, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso County Elections Department invites local students to showcase their creativity and promote civic engagement through this year’s 2025 Sticker Design Contest.

This year’s contest features two categories:

  • The “Future Voter” Sticker Design Contest, open to elementary school students.
  • The “I Voted” Sticker Design Contest, open to high-school students.

Winning designs will become the official “Future Voter” and “I Voted” stickers distributed to voters during the 2026 electoral season. The deadline to submit an entry is Friday, Oct. 31.

“The El Paso County Elections Department is excited to expand this contest to include elementary-school students in designing the next ‘Future Voter’ sticker. This comes in response to requests from elementary-school teachers and students who wanted to participate in past contests, previously open only to middle- and high-school students. This year also marks the fourth edition of the ‘I Voted’ sticker since its debut in 2019. Through initiatives like these, we aim to continue fostering youth involvement in the electoral process,” said Lisa Wise, elections administrator.

A panel of community leaders will judge the entries and select a first, second, and third place for each category based on artistic skill, theme, and originality.

Judges will be announced in the coming weeks, and winners will be invited to Commissioners Court in November to be formally recognized for their talent and showcase their winning designs.
