EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A series of Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) informational sessions will be held this fall to help families and students better understand the cost of college and financial aid options available.




The sessions will be hosted by the El Paso Community College (EPCC), in partnership with the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso.
Financial aid experts from these three institutions will provide step-by-step guidance on the true cost of college, how financial aid works, and available opportunities to make higher education more affordable, EPCC said in a news release.
Attendees will also receive one-on-one support with completing the FAFSA and the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA).
Dates and locations of these sessions are as follows, according to EPCC:
- Saturday, October 4, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. – Region 19 Education Service Center (6611 Boeing Drive)
- Saturday, October 18, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. – EPCC Northwest Campus Jenna Welch & Laura Bush Community Library (6701 S. Desert Boulevard)
- Saturday, November 1, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. – John E. Uxer Head Start Center (9776 Kenworthy Street)
- Saturday, November 15, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. – Socorro ISD District Service Center (12440 Rojas Drive)
- Saturday, November 22, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. – Horizon High School (14651 Horizon Boulevard) and San Elizario High School (13981 Socorro Road)
- Saturday, December 6, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. – Region 19 Education Service Center (6611 Boeing Drive)
Attendees are encouraged to bring:
- A fully charged personal electronic device
- Active personal email account information (for both student and parent)
- Personal identification for student and parent
- 2024 tax information
