EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The westbound Interstate 10 Mesa exit has now reopened after being closed for weeks as part of the I-10 Widening Project.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) made the announcement on Sunday evening, Oct. 5, via its X account.
This comes after crews worked over the weekend to remove portable traffic concrete barrier, stripe, install aesthetic fence on Thorn, and install overhead sign bridge sign structures, according to TxDOT.
The closure on I-10 westbound from Sunland Park to Artcraft was expected to last 48 hours, from Saturday, Oct. 4, through Monday, Oct. 6, from 5 a.m. to 5 a.m. However, as of 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, crews finished early and the road reopened.
As this closure lifted, the I-10 Mesa exit reopened.
