EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 19-year-old woman and injured a man last month near a Las Cruces park, according to the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD).
Esteban Munoz, 19, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 8, and was charged with felony accounts of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit an armed robbery.

As KTSM previously reported, two 18-year-olds, Elijah Sambrano and Apolinar Rosales, had also been arrested for their roles in the shooting.


Sambrano is charged with felony counts of aggravated battery that may cause death or bodily harm and tampering with evidence. Rosales is charged with felony counts of voluntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence, and a misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing, according to LCPD.
The shooting took place shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, near Salopek Park on the 400 block of Salopek Boulevard.
The victim, 19-year-old Julia Clark, was airlifted to University Medical Center of El Paso, where she died on Sept. 6, according to LCPD.
A 19-year-old man was also shot and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
