EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy football Friday! Mother Nature is in the sports fans’ favor, ending the workweek with partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions. Come Saturday night, however, the conditions will change with showers and storms in the forecast.
For your Friday evening, clouds will continue to blanket the sky as winds blow from the southeast 15-20 mph with gusts reaching speeds as high as 25 mph.
For Saturday, expect mostly sunny skies for a good portion of the morning and afternoon before scattered showers enter the picture. Storms and showers will begin to form early in the evening and continue throughout the night with winds blowing around 10-15 mpg. The high will be in the upper 80s with overnight lows around the mid 60s.
On Sunday, the showers and storms continue as temperatures drop to the mid-70s. The low will be around 65 with storms continuing just before midnight.
A heavy rain threat is set for Monday as the area will see mostly cloudy conditions and a high around the low 70s. Showers and storms will continue through the day into the evening with the low dropping to the low 60s.
Shower chances continue Tuesday, but they are light. The high will be in the upper 70s to low 80s range with an overnight low near 60.
On Wednesday forward, the skies will be mostly clear with temperatures close to average. There is a slight chance for showers towards the end of the week.
